Experience a Rehearsal in Action
Ever wondered how a choral–orchestral collaboration comes together?
On Saturday 31 January, Settle Orchestra is opening one of its rehearsals to anyone curious to see the orchestra at work as we prepare for our Spring 2026 programme with Langcliffe Singers.
10.00am – 2.30pm
St Mary’s Roman Catholic Church, Settle
(next to our usual rehearsal venue, St John’s)
This open rehearsal offers a relaxed and informal opportunity to:
- observe the rehearsal process
- hear the music taking shape
- get a feel for what it’s like to play with Settle Orchestra
Whether you’re a musician considering joining us in the future, a supporter of live music, or simply curious to experience a rehearsal from the inside, you’ll be very welcome.
And of course, there will be a break — with cake… plenty of cake — because no rehearsal is complete without it.
Entry is free. Donations gratefully accepted. We look forward to welcoming you!

Visiting our open rehearsal day is also a fantastic opportunity to meet us. If you’re a musician in the area, this is the perfect chance to connect. We are particularly looking for more cellists, double bass and viola players to join our orchestra.
